If you are referring to the background while you are using that system,
its "Desktop, Theme and Screensaver" may be changed:

Right Click on an unused portion of the desktop's background and click
on Properties. Many choices are open to you. You may even import
images of your choice from the Internet:

<http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/downloads/desktop/default.mspx>

_CAVEAT_

A word of caution here - searching the Internet for animation and themes
can expose your system to some likelihood of malware intrusion. Beware!

@Shaunatikelbell:

To change your user login icon:
Click on the START button
Click on "Control Panel"
Click on "User Accounts"
Click on "Change an account"
Click on your account
Click on "Change my picture"

To customize your desktop, you can follow the instructions 1PW stated by
right-clicking any blank area of your desktop and clicking on "Properties"

One way of personalizing a desktop is to use a uniquely personal
picture as the desktop background image. WinXP / Desktop / Properties
has a menu item for this (i.e. WinXP puts the whole picture on screen
whatever its size or shape.) You can bring to work a CD or USB flash
device with a digital file of the picture, and simply /Browse to it from the
menu item.

To personalize it put a link to "Solitare" in your "startup" folder.

If you think that will not endear you to your boss/manager then put
the company logo as your wallpaper.

Many Thanks for your time and effort "nice idea". Shaunatinkelbell
