How do I make my computer run faster

I just bought a computer, HP Pavillion with XP and I realized it has so much
junk on it. I was just wondering what to delete from my computer. I do not
have enough money to pay for it to get clean. So if anybody knows how to do
this for me, please reply.

Remove Programs " area , Once people know whats in there? Then they can

Might it not be better to RUN msconfig/Startup or similar and see what he's
*actually running* VS whats in the box (but may NOT be running/slowing it
down)

Hi ... Rudy is totally correct by suggesting to look at msconfig/Startup and
see whats is running and to turn some application off from the startup , I
have notice a few programs you can uninstall in the add and remove programs
area too , I would uninstall >> Adobe Reader 6.0.1 , Yahoo! Browser Services
, Yahoo! Install Manager , Yahoo! Internet Mail , Yahoo! Toolbar , Now all
these yahoo stuff is just my preference , You might like them , Also I see 2
programs ANIO service, ANIWZCS2 service , Those are utilities that you might
or might not want , so if you do not want them ? You can safely remove them
first! Then it's a matter of re-installing your D-Link software thru the
operating system find hardware wizard. Windows will find the drivers only on
your D-Link CD and install them for you , There more programs that I
wouldn't care to have because again its just my preference but you might
like them , So I would do the msconfig / start up suggestion and see if that
helps And maybe others here might suggested other programs you can uninstall
as well because I'm not familiar with "all" your lists in the add and remove
