You are right. Looks like the NG has been there for about a month now. Just
in case anyone is interested, this is what I posted to the One Note ng:
<<<<<<
Hello. I have been using Turbo Note for two years. When I heard about One
Note, I got very excited. It is definitely something I am going to use, but
until the following items are addressed, I will still have to use Turbo Note
simultaneously with One Note.
1) When cutting and pasting html or other text from the Web into FrontPage
or MS Word, I often have to have it pasted in text format rather than the
original format. So I filter my content through Turbo Note before pasting
it. In One Note, the content is pasted as is. There should be a setting in
One Note to allow users the choice to paste in either text format or rich
text format. This option should be set up in a one-time check box fashion in
order to minimize key presses.
2) I am able to call up my very last Turbo Note and close it with one press
of my keyboard. My hand never has to reach over to the mouse. Just having
surgery to repair carpel tunnel syndrome, I am grateful for this. However,
One Note has no shortcut keys for opening and closing the last side note
edited. I did figure out that I could create a shortcut to my side note in
the One Note folder and then edit its properties to include a shortcut key,
but it took me forever to figure that out and now I have a hidden shortcut
on my desktop that I shouldn't really need.
3) I would love to see an IE add on that allows me to highlight text, right
click, and then send to One Note. Each time I repeat this, the text should
go to the same note until I open that note and click an option to stop
pasting from the Web.
I can work around the lack of keyboard shortcuts. I might even do away with
Turbo Note and just create a shortcut to Notepad for my cutting and pasting
as text. But it would sure be nice if I had all these possibilities in one
program.
