How do I keep a date together on one line (ex: June 8,) in Word?

Is there a way to keep words together on one line instead of wrapping to the
next line? Example: I want to keep the date June 8, together on one line
and it is wrapping the 8 to the next line...I know there used to be a way in
Wordperfect, but I haven't found one in Word....

Select the space between the words (or delete the space) and press
Ctrl-Shift-Space (if you just do that _next to_ the existing space, it
doesn't help.)
