Not splitting date

How can I keep text wrap from splitting a date (September 15, 2005) at the
end of a line of text and wrapping part of it to next line? There was a way
in WordPerfect to enter a "hard space" so that when you editted the
paragraph, the date would stay in tact by not wrapping to next line or by
wrapping the whole
thing (month, day & year).

Ctrl-Shift-Spacebar puts in a non-breaking or "hard" space.
