How do I keep a date together in one line only in Word 2007?

I am trying to keep a date together in one line. For instance, how do I
prevent April 1, 2008 from appearing / being split into 2 lines?

Instead of using regular spaces in the date use nonbreaking spaces by
pressing Ctrl+Shift+Space.

Same as in any other version: insert nonbreaking spaces using
Ctrl+Shift+Spacebar.

Use a non-breaking space (ctrl+shift+spacebar) before the 1 and before
the 2.
