How do i hide the hyperlink formatting?

I am typing up a bibliography and have put my links in the correct manner.
However, it keeps showing up like this on the screen: {HYPERLINK and the web
address following. How can I stop it from showing hyperlink. This confuses
me, and I do not wish to view it on the screen. I know it will not show when
I print. However, i really would like to hear suggestions on removing it
from the screen.

Press Alt+F9 to switch between display of field codes (what you
see now) and field results.
