how do i get windows update icon in systray

i want windows update icon in the sys tray bar but cannot find that setting i know where the auto up date settings are but i cannot work out how to put it there

First, right click on the taskbar, go to Properties and make sure there's a
check beside "Show Quick Launch." Open Windows Explorer or whatever you use for
a file manager and navigate to C:\Documents and Settings\[user name]\Application
Data\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick Launch. Right click on an open area of
the right pane and select New > Shortcut... Indicate a link to
C:\WINDOWS\system32\wupdmgr.exe.

When I first started running Quick Launch, there was a lot of stuff showing that
I didn't want. But it was simple to right click on unwanted icons and delete
them.
