How do I get the classic search back?

Can someone tell me how I can get the classic search back?

It absolutely gets on my nerves when I hit the Windows key and F ans
have to click twice to start typing in what I want to look for... or
alternatively... go throuh several kep presses to get the focus on the
right box.

In the old classic search... you got a straight to the right box and
could start typing in what you were searching for straight away.

Does any of that make sense?
