how do i get rid of subsites

I imported a site as a subsite. Upon finding my server doesn't use
extensions, I converted the subsite folder to a normal folder. Now when I try
to publich my site and its changes, the server times out looking for
subsites. Any ideas?

when you go to publish the web deselect the option to
"include subwebs"

If your host does nothave the extensions the publish feature
does not work and you would be using FTP ?

If your host does support the "publish" feature of frontpage
I would suggest opening the site "live" and do a
"recalculate hyperlinks" on the site

I am a bit confused by your description of the problem

Thanks for your response. My server, managed by my son, supports FTP from
frontpage and I have never had any trouble publishing my web site in the
past. Now, when I try to FTP to the server, it times out saying it's looking
for subsites on the server but it can't find any. I do not have the include
subwebs function checked. I had originally two sites and I wanted to combine
them into one so I imported one into the other in frontpage as a subsite. I
then found out that for subsites to work, frontpage extensions had to be
working on the server. My server does not support them. We haven't been able
to make it work yet. So I transformed the subsite folder with the globe icon
on it to a normal folder. Ever since I have done that I can't publish the
site because frontpage is looking for subsites on the server and they aren't
there.

How can I fix my site so it will publish? In hopes of fixing it here's what
I did. I completely deleted the site off my hard drive. I then downloaded the
web site from the server into frontpage in hopes of getting it clean with no
reference to subsites. It still does the same thing, looking for subsites on
the server.

Thank you for trying to help me. I really appreciate it.
