How do I get rid of "hungapp"??

win xp sp2 (latest updates installed; Spyware Doctor, Mcafee, Windows
Defender, Avast, AdAware SE . Everything is updated.


McAfee in particular but not exclusively: When I open window and try to
click on anything, I get a "not responding" and it hangs for the longest
time. This happens with several other programs as well. Whenever "error send
report etc" comes up it shows "hungapp" as my problem. I have googled the
heck out of google for "hungapp" where there are many entries but I can't
find a solution. It appears that this same question has been asked for
several years without a definitive answer that I can find.
I hope you can help me.

Hi,
I am getting a similar message. Mine reads:
"Error signature
szAppName:lEXPLORE.EXE szAppVer:6.0.2900.2180
szModName:hungapp szModVer:0.0.0.0
offset:00000000

Please can someone out there tell me how to fix this? I am a bit of a
novice, my WindowsXP is a year old, with updated McAfee Antivirus and
Firewall. Ran a thorough virus check, all OK. Please help!! I'd be very
grateful...thanks.
