I just tried what Helen did and it did not work for me!
To explain what I have going on...I have not changed the number or addresses
of the accounts I use, in fact, the laptop I use, which defaults to a
different PST file, does fine with a send/receive. the desktop however,
prompts me for a password for each account, each time I do a send/receive.
Seemed to be the same problem Helen had.
I've tried the registry fix for passwords, tried what Helen did for
different send/receive groups, tried copying the SRS file from the laptop to
the desktop, tried creating new profiles and the password pop-up keeps coming
up in them as well.
If there were registry entries or files I could copy from the working laptop
to the desktop, I'd be thrilled. The desktop accesses the pst file located on
a removable drive, the laptop defaults to a PST on its C drive, and has the
removable drive PST file as a folder.
Any suggestions? I work at home and need to respond to emails immediately
when they arrive...this is nearly impossible with the password having to be
entered each time!
Thanks...Cindy
