How do I get Outlook 2003 to send/receive on startup?

I have just installed Outlook 2003 after a hard drive replacement and had it
working previously. I have an ADSL internet connection with various POP3
email accounts. Since the reinstall I can check mail manually with no
problems. However I cannot get Outlook to check on startup nor it seems at
the specified intervals. I followed the checklist below after reading through
some posts on the topic because Outlook Help wasn't helping.

1. Polling interval is set to 30 mins for online and offline. (I had all day
to wait for the test email)
2. Work Offline is not set.
3. I copied my Send/Recieve Group as documented at
http://support.microsoft.com/support/kb/articles/q312/3/36.asp
4. Disable Scheduled Send/Receive is not set.
5. I have removed my mail settings and recreated them (2 email accounts for
now)
6. I have disabled my firewall (CA eTrust) for the test.

None of these have changed the outcome. Any suggestions.

There is a checkbox at the bottom of the send/receive settings dialog
labeled something like schedule a send/receive every X minutes. That box
needs to be checked for whatever S/R group you are working with.

And there it is! I think you can put this one down to a case of not being
able to see the forest for the trees.

Thanks for taking my blinkers off.
