how do i get my logo to appear

G

Guest

Hi, I'm using Outlook 2003 on an office network of 18 pc's. They are meant to
be configured the same. Apparently not. I have added my company logo (JPG)
with address block and kind regards etc as a "signature block" in "Tools" >
"Options" > "Mail Format" > "signatures". I tried cutting and pasting and
inserting image and eventually it went in and now does appear on all my mails
and also my replies. However on the other PC's I usually get the logo to
appear in the signature set up window (although it sometimes appears
supersized and needs downsizing) but when I "apply and OK" it I just get the
white bordered box with customary red cross in the corner. How do I get it to
appear. I can understand why it may be problem in inbound mail but new
outward mail - surely not. Please tell me what I'm doing wrong. Thanks

Is the picture located in your signature folder and is the reference in the
HTML-source correct?

In general the HTML of a signature doesn't look much more complicated than;

<html>
<body>
Insert a greeting,<br>
Your name<br>
<br>(empty rule)
Some more stuff you want to write<br>
<b>Maybe something bold?</b><br>
<a href="http://www.yourwebsite.com">clickable link</a><br>
<img src="subfolder of Signatures/yourlogo.jpg"><br>
<br>
<i>or retrieve your logo from your website</i><br>
<img src="http://www.yourwebsite.com/pictures/yourlogo.jpg>
</body>
</html>

Yes when I view the file "kind Regards" htm file within
C:\Documents and Settings\ar\Application Data\Microsoft\Signatures I can
see the image I want. There is a message regarding active content at the top
asking me if I want to unblock active content. When I open that htm file i
have a www. link and email links as well as some text and the logo. However
when I do the actual Email I just get the box and red X. When I view the
code I get (somewhat more complicated than your suggestion - Sorry. Any
further thoughts. I have also just copied the JPG file int the "Signature"
folder in case that made a difference. I'm sur it must be reasonably
straight forwar but I am failing miserably on this so far - Hours later I
have done 2 pc's out of 18!!

How do I have a signature with the logo in outlook 2007 - I cant find an HTML

When creating a signature in Outlook 2007 you can use the Picture icon to
insert a picture. For its location simply supply the URL of the picture.
If you want to modify the HTML directly instead, then hold the CTRL button
when pressing the Signatures... button on the Mail Format tab to directly
open the Signatures folder in Explorer.
