How do I get back the "my computer "icon, back onto desktop??

Start > Control Panel > Display > Desktop tab > Customize Desktop button >
General tab > Desktop icons
 
I had to make a "house call" for the Computer Club yesterday. The solution
was much simpler; Right click the desktop and Arrange Icons by, then Name.
It was hidden below the task bar.
