How do i get a preview pane in Personal Folders

I can't select Preview Pane in my Personal Folders in Outlook. The selection
isn't available on my toolbar.
 
You mean in the root folder of a .pst file? The preview pane isn't active
there, probably since it's not intended to hold individual items.
