How do I fix: "The messaging interface has returned an unknown err

Microsoft Outlook 2002 opens fine on my Presario X1000 notebook. However,
when I try to delete messages, send/receive messages, delete/modify calendar
events, etc. I get the error, "The messaging interface has returned an
unknown error. If the problem persists, restart Outlook."

I've tried restarting Outlook both in safe and normal more, but nothing has
helped. I am at a lost...

Run scanpst.exe against your pst-file to check it for errors.
