How do I export only selected contact records?

I want to export only certain records into Excel from Outlook 2007. I can
change the current view to those selected records, I can select the records,
but when I export it exports all my contacts not the selected ones.

Create a second contacts folder and copy the entries in the view to that
folder, then export that folder.
