How do I draw email folders into Outlook

I drew in an email account but only new messages and those that were already
in my inbox, can be viewed in Outlook. I was previously using this account
for some time (before drawing it into Outlook) and I had created several
folders which I can still view if I access the account manually.

I want to draw those folders into Outlook with their messages included.
Anyone know how to do that. The email account is an IMAP.

What do you mean by "draw in"? With IMAP accounts, all the messages are
stored on the server. If you dont' see them, they're not there.

By "drew in" I mean I added an account to the list of emails that I view
through Outlook (currently there are 3). This newly added email account is
something I accessed manually prior to using Outlook to view it. All of the
folders within this email account (i.e. Drafts, Sent Items, and other folders
like Coursework, Careers etc.) are not viewable from Outlook. They can only
be seen once I go back and manually access the email. I want to be able to
see these folders from Outlook.

I apologize but I'm not very tech savvy and will be easily confused by tech
terminology.

Thanks for the quick reply,
Andrew

What exactly do you mean by "accessed manually"? Did you use a web browser,
(IE for example) or another Email client (Outlook Express for example?) We
can't help unless you tell us EXACTLY how you "accessed manually" this email
account.

You're still not clear. "Account" are structures in your mail profile that
specify, among other things, what kind of mail servers you are using, how to
find your mail servers, and how frequently to check for mail. That's all
they do. They do not specify where you'll see messages.
This newly added email
account is something I accessed manually prior to using Outlook to
view it.

This sounds more like a mail profile, not an account. Are you saying that
when you start Outlook, you're prompted to choose a mail profile to use?
All of the folders within this email account (i.e. Drafts,
Sent Items, and other folders like Coursework, Careers etc.) are not
viewable from Outlook.

If they're not viewable from Outlook, how do you view them?
They can only be seen once I go back and
manually access the email. I want to be able to see these folders
from Outlook.

Manually access them with what application, if not Outlook?
