When i last installed Endnote v5 on my other computer, the toolbar appeared
in word 2000 automatically. i fear the Endnote Add-In may not be installed on
this computer, would this explain why I cannot get the toolbar in Word 2003?

Do I have to find the installation disk for Endnote and install the Add-In
or is there another way of inserting my refs into Word?

Endnote is a separate program from Microsoft Word. To see if Endnote is
installed on your computer, click on Start | Control Panel | Add/Remove
Programs, and see if Endnote is somewhere in the list of installed
programs. If Endnote is installed, then the problem could be that the
Endnote add-in is not in the Word 2003 startup folder... see
http://www.endnote.com/support/faqs/enfaq7.asp . If Endnote is not
installed, then install it from your original CD, assuming your software
license allows you to install the program on another computer.

Endnote is installed because i installed it! The link you provided has proved
to be very useful and provides the following information:

"The simplest way to get the tools to appear in Word 97/2000/XP is to run
the EndNote installer again (Note that this will not work for Word 2003. For
Word 2003 the tools must be manually installed as outlined below)..."

Many thanks
