Removing Endnotes formatting

I am using Word 2002. I received a Word document in which the author has used
Endnote for citations. How do I remove the field codes? I do not have Endnote
installed on my computer. I tried googling it, but all the tips are about
removing the formatting when you have Endnote. I know there is an easy way to
do this, but can't remember what it is.

Ctrl-Shift-F9 will "unlink" a field -- try it on one example and see
if it does what you need.

I found the answer to this. Just in case anyone needs to know, select all (or
do it one by one) and press control + shift + F9.
