How to apply "endnote text" style

I occasionally paste info directly into an endnote, and it obviosly gets
pasted either as normal or the formatting of the original text. How can I
quickly assign text in footnotes/endnotes to the "endnote text" style? I saw
that after getting Word to create an endnote, what I typed in looked like a
normal endnote, automatically--10 pt font, etc. I looked in the STyles and
Formatting pane, selected all styles, but still didn't see the "endnote
text" style as a choice to click on. What do I need to do? I tried googling
but all i got were references to the Endnote program.

Have you tried using Edit> Paste Special - Unformatted Text? That should
cause the pasted content to take on the style of what you're pasting into.

To answer your original question, however, you can force Endnote Text to be
displayed in the Style dropdown by pressing Shift while clicking on the
arrow.

Suzanne, just for the knowledge of it, I went into the Styles and Formatting
pane and didn't see anywhere that a down arrow allowed me to see the Endnote
Text style, while pressing Shift. Which place/down arrow should I click
on--Styles and Formatting, Formatting of Selected Test, Pick Formatting to
Apply, or the Show: all styles field, should I be clicking on when I'm
pressing the Shift key?
