How do I disable a keyboard in Device Manager?

Now this may seem entirely foolhardy, but bear with me.

It seems that my neighbour has got himself a bluetooth keyboard, because my
Laptop, running XP home, detected and helpfully installed it. My laptop now
reproduces everything he types into his PC whenever bluetooth is enabled.

I had considered going into device manager and marking the keyboard as
disabled, but the disable option is not available for keyboards - obviously
because disabling the keyboard under normal circumstances would be plain
silly.

Any ideas anyone?

Ask him to put on Bluetooth Security. Normally to pair devices you would
need to enter PIN code.

Just telling him you can read everything he types should convince him to do
this. LOL, that's a funny story.

That's not so easy. He speaks no English (I think he's Greek). Entering
pairing code is by no means universal.

what about deleting the keyboard from your system? or also you could disable
bluetooth when you don't need it, hummmm what else? i am surprised tho,
normally bluetooth has security built in and would not allow someone or a
device to accept the system without pairing the device first. post back if
oyu need more help

Start up your Laptop's Bluetooth security also. Then, set your
Bluetooth visability to "hifden" once you "paired" devices are set up.

You may need to reduce to transmission level for your Bluetooth radio
so that your radio transmit distance is lowered.

hummm true but on some computer you cannot control the transmission level,
as it';s the case with my bluetooth device, the transmission level is
automatic, when a device is within the 330 feet mark it senses it and goes
to max power then reduces the power as the device is getting closer to the
computer, so may be this part can't help but you are right about the
security tab and hidding your computer from any devices

Tried all of that, but when I need bluetooth again it rediscovers the
keyboard again if he's using it.

i am surprised tho, normally bluetooth has security built in and would not
