How do I direct my Outlook 2000 to use a different pst file instead ot the
one it uses now?

Is Outlook 2000 in Internet Mail Only or Corporate/Workgroup mode? (See Help
| About Microsoft Outlook. Second or third line from the top should state
which mode Outlook is in.)

Internet Mail Only

Assuming that you have already added the "different" pst file to Outlook,
right click on Personal Folders (the one that doesn't have Outlook Today
next to it) and select properties. At the bottom of the dialog is a
checkbox to have mail delivered to this set of folders. Check that box,
okay out, and then restart Outlook. You should answer yes to allow Outlook
to rebuild the Outlook Bar.

No, I have not added the "different" pst file to Outlook. How do I do that?
I have this file on my flash memory stick and I want to use it instyed of
the default one

File | Open | Personal Folders (it could be Outlook Data File, but I can't
remember when MS switched the term.)

ps - i have never ran outlook data storage from a flash memory stick, so you
might want to copy the pst to the hard drive for use.
