how do i delete messages from my outbox?

I recently upgraded to Office 2003. I tried sending an email with an
attachment that was too large. It was blocking all other emails from going
out and I could't delete the message from my outbox. I switched back to
Outlook 2000 and this is the message I get: Can't open file, MAPI SPooler
has already begun transmitting.

How do I stop this? It's been this way for 4 days.
