How do I decrease the size of my powerpoint in office 2007?

Hi,
I've been trying to decrease my power point file. I have 15 slides and it
keeps saving at around 4MB. I want to make it smaller so it will be easier to
mail to clients. I looked at a couple of sites and I tried ungrouping all my
images and disabling fast save. I know that it it is automatically
compressing photos but I can not find the tools drop down menu in Power Point
2007. There is no longer a file drop down menu but when I hit save as and hit
power point options there is no longer a tools drop down menu.
I would like to try to decrease the file size without having to use winzip
because some clients may not have winzip.
Thanks

Download a trial version of PPTXtreme. Please let me know if this works or not.

PPT 2007 doesn't have fast saves.

The photo compression should happen automatically when you save in 2007. You
can select a photo, which makes the Picture Tools Format tab become
available. Then choose Compress Pictures (on the left), then Options.

It's also availabe in Save As. There's a Tools dropdown at the bottom of
that Save As dialog. Press it, then Compress Pictures is the last on the
list. (At least there is on Vista.) I made a Jing capture so you can see it.

In addition, if you're saving your file as 97-2003 format, it will increase
the file size. Keep it as the 2007 PPTX format and tell your recipients to
make sure to download and install the Compatibility Pack that allows them to
open 2007-format files. They'll need to make sure they've installed all
critical Windows updates as well. Get it here:

Well, I had experienced this before. My friend told me to convert my
presentation to Flash, I found it works very well to reduce my bulky
PowerPoint presentation upto 80%.

I used this PowerPoint to Flash converter - PPT2Flash Standard at this
site:
http://www.sameshow.com/powerpoint-to-flash.html

Hope it can help you.

If you are using PPT 2003 or prior, it's probably because of Allow Fast
Saves.

If you're using PPT 2007, then it's probably something else.

Which version of PPT are you using?
