Hi John,
Do you have a default printer set up?

If not, install one (any common printer will work) to see if it fixes your
problem.

Cheers,
Geoff

On many computers the suffix (.ppt) isn't shown so the file name you have is
probably correct. You can enable this if you want in Windows
Explorer>Tools>Folder Options >View (UNTICK the bit that says "Hide
extensions for known File Types")

As Spud says it's important to have a default printer set up with 2007 even
if you don't have one! This could be the problem.

Here is what is going on, as best as I can explain it. The powerpoint
presentation was made in Powerpoint 2007. It has to be converted to the 2003
powerpoint program for viewing because the instructor at the university does
not have 2007. When I try to send the powerpoint, even after it's supposedly
been converted to 2003, when it is viewed the fonts have changed and some of
the writing overlaps on the top and bottom of the page. Here is the message
seen when saving to 2003 " the shape and any text in it cannot be edited when
using earlier versions of powerpoint (slide 1)"
Have tried changing the font, making is smaller, taking the picture off the
page, using a different page background, have done the default printer, can't
think of anything else to do. Any suggestions? Thanks
