How do I create my symbol to alphabet font using word

I would like to create my own font. A symbol that will represent an
alpheerbet for example lets say I have a symbol of a lamp nad I want it to be
presented with letter A.
 
Google for programs that will help you create fonts.

(Personally, I would find some funky symbol/picture font that someone else
created and use that.)
