how do I change metric to inches on my Word 2007 default ruler ?

I cannot find out how to permenantly change my default from centimetres to
inches on my ruler in Office 2007. Can anyone help, please?
 
You have changed the units of measurement in Office Button | Word Options |
Advanced | Display?
