how do I, Change default e-mail from outlook to outlook express

Several months ago I install a all in one, security and utility program. this
program caused outlook express to stop functioning even with technical
support from the, all in one company, it could not be restored.
Recently installed office 2003. with the inclusion of MS Outlook This
computer is now receiving e-mail. however, I prefer outlook express. can
anyone advise me as to how I can go about restoring outlook express as my
default e-mail program without losing my contacts? Thank you in advance for
any assistance you may be able to provide.

Go to the help topic "Export Information" in Outlook and see the
subtopic "Export a set of contacts." Do what it says, and then close
Outlook.

Open Outlook Express and click File > Import and follow the
instructions.
