How do I avoid having Southafrican email recipients being asked t.

I am using Microsoft Outlook and when I send messages to recipients in South
Africa they say they are requested to download huge files. Also, I am not
receiving their replies.

Can anyone identify what the problem might be?

Send them a test e-mail formatted as plain-text (i.e., do NOT use HTML
or RTF). Then ask what are the huge attached files that they claim are
getting included in the receipt of your test e-mail.
