HOW can I get rid of those ANNOYING security pop-up windows???

On a web page that I surf often I keep getting this annoying pop-up
window:

"The current web page is trying to open a site in your trusted sites
list, do you want to allow this?"

Well, duh!!! IF it is on my TRUSTED sites list WHY in the world do I
want to have to grant it "permission"??? Even if I answer "Yes", as soon
as I go back or forward a page the stupid window comes up again, and
again, and again. HOW many times must I tell it that it is "ok",
especially in the SAME session? Arghh!!!!

Same thing with download file "warning" messages, I have turned off the
"prompt" in internet options but I still get those annoyances as well.

It seems that the programmers as MS sit behind their desks all day and
try to see who can come up with the most annoying pop-up "warning"
windows. I don't remember all of these annoyances on Windows 2000, but
ever since I migrated to XP I am deluged with this garbage. Help!!!

Internet Options/Security/Zone/web sites in less
privileged zone can navigate to this zone
(enable/disable/prompt)

Think about privilege elevation exploits when you change
this.

THANK YOU!!!! This worked. The web page I was on was an "HttpS" web
site. But every time I would try to access selected documents within
that site I would get the pop-up security message. The URL listed on the
pop-up message was slightly different, but still contained the main URL.
I tried adding that to the "Trusted" zone to no avail...

I can't thank you enough, I was ready to toss my computer out the
window!!

The main page I started at was an "Https" site, but within the site when
accessing documents it went to some sort of "sub" site in which the
pop-up message kept reocurring. The "check" mark was removed in the
verification box, and I even tried to add the "sub" address to the
"trusted" sites.

The reply in this thread by "anonymous..." worked, I unchecked the "Web
sites in less privileged zone can navigate to this zone" option in the
security settings and viola, no more pop-ups!
