How DHCP client uses obtain IP from DHCPsuperscope ?

Hi there,

Assumed :
- all DHCP client on the same physical network
- 1 DHCP server with superscope (192.168.1.x & 192.168.2.x)
- Routing is not an issue for the 2 subnet above!!!

Question:
- How the IP address of the superscope will be assigned for DHCP clients
Does it start from the 1st scope to the last IP of its and then it will be
using
second one as the other DHCP clients start asking it ? (ascending.
descending?)
- Does it provide IP address from superscope randomly to the DHCP client ?

Thanks,
J.H

Hi guys,

Do not bother about my question. I figured it out.
After the test, the 2nd scope in the superscope will
be used by DHCP client ONLY when the 1st scope
are full. (assumed all DHCP client on the same physical
network, has one router with mutilple gateway IP address
use for each scope subnet id on the DHCP)

Thank for your all readings,
J.H
