How can you show/print comments on a slide in 2003 version?

I have a Powerpoint 2000 file with comments on a slide. I could print those
out on my slides and I could show or Hide the entire comment. Now on
Powerpoint 2003, I can only show the initials on the slide and cannot print
or show the entire comment on the slide. I am updating my old file with
additional slides and info and need to be able to show and print comments
from old slides. How do I accomplish this task?

I would convert the new comments to old style comments.
