How can I stop ipodservice.exe from running in the process?

I don't often use itune or quicktime which is installed on my computer. But
when I opened the task manager I saw it run. How can I stop it from running?
Should I delte the associated entry in the registry? If so, what can I do
for now?

You can tell the iPod Service to not start at all. Go to Administrative
Tools > Services, scroll down until you see the iPod Service listing,
double-click it, and change the Startup Type to "Disabled." At this time,
you may also click "Stop" to end the process if it is running.

Hi,

You can click Start > Run and then type in MSCONFIG in the
box. Hit enter and then you will be having the "System
Configuration Utility". Click the "Startup" tab and from
the list just uncheck the ipodservice entry from the
startup items. Click "Apply" and then click "Close". You
will be asked to restart the computer. Proceed with a
restart. After the computer comes up you will get a
message about the "System Configuration Utility". Just
check the box "Don't show this message again" and click
Ok. Then check out the computer. That program won't come
in the startup again.

Regards,

Max
