How can I start with a clean desktop and NO windows open?

Every time I start my computer the dam search window is already open.

I have to close it to be able to do what ever I want to do.

I would like to close this window forever so it NEVER automatically opens up
when I turn on my computer.

What is the answer? NOBODY has been able to tell me.

This is the fix for my docs opening on startup, but it seems as if it
just sets the number of explorer windows to 0.
