How can I set up an animation and then a hyperlink on an object

I am trying to set up an object so that when it is clicked on, it will first
animate (i.e. leave the screen) and then hyperlink to the next slide. There
was a similar question posted but when I tried that solution the animation
did not happen before the hyperlink. I would be grateful for any help!

Usually when you add animation to an item, PowerPoint puts it at the bottom
of the list in the task pane, move the animated item above the hyperlink and
see if that does not work in your example.
