How can I save files as .html by default

C

Celeste

Why Does FP save all web pages as .htm instead of .html?
Is there a reason they need to be .htm files and if not
is there any way to to get FP to save pages I create
as .html by default instead of renaming them? I am
revamping a very large hand-coded website with .htnl
filenames and bringing it into FP for future maintenance
purposes.

It would be exceedingly helpful if FP would save as .html
so my extensions will be uniform and my internal links
will work without having to remember to change the
extension on each page I create in FP.

I am currently using FP2003 and utilzing FP server
extensions from my web host.

TIA for your assistance.

The only page that would need to be .html is the default document (home page) extensions within your
web site, all of the other page can be .htm.

This is a requirement of your host, as they can just as easy set .htm as the default document
extensions.

No, you can not change this default in FP, however FP will not change any page extensions, with the
exception of the default document.
