how can i reset a lost admin password in active directory

we have only one administrator and lost its password. is
there a way to reset the password of the administrator. we
cannot login anymore.

Unfortunately those techniques don't work on Domain Controllers for the admin ID
in the DIT, his question according to the subject is for the ID in Active
Directory.
