It is possible that your .pst file size has exceeded the
2 GB limit. Check you file size, if close to or over 2
GB this is the problem.
If that is the case, download pst2gb.exe from
microsoft.com, this tool will truncate the .pst file size
and re-save it to a new file that should successfully go
through the inbox repair tool.
after if goes through the inbox repair tool it should
open in outlook.
