How can I read e-mail offline to decrease internet time

I am going on a cruise and would like to download email and view offline, I
also want to prepare e-mails offline and upload as a batch. Internet time is
too expensive

I'm very surprised a cruise ship doesn't have free wifi.....

O.K., so download it to Outlook and read it. You can even reply and your
outgoing replies will queue up in the Outbox until the next time you
connect. (I do that on planes all the time) What's the problem?
