I have the system set to link files of more than 100K (standard). I have
embedded a 5K wav file. This sound will not play on any system other than
mine, even though I have taken all of the steps shown in both the online
tutorial and the posts. Why can't I get this sound to go along with my
presentation?

My guess is that you haven’t really “embedded the soundâ€.
You might have just “inserted “it.
That means you’ve just inserted a “shortcut†to the sound file.
If that’s the case PP is reading the sound file from your hard drive.
So you must send the file along with PP and tell your friends to file it in
the same folder as PP.

Or
“Embed “ it into Power Point through the “Slide Transition Box.â€
Slideshow > Slide Transition > Sound
Click the sound tab on the Slide Transition Box and scroll down past the
default sounds of PP to “otherâ€.
Click “other†and that will open your files.
Choose your sound file.
Click “Apply or “Apply to all†and you’re off to the races.

Hope that helps
