How can I keep original formatting when editing a forwarded email.

When I receive an email which I want to edit and forward on, if I choose
Forward, then edit the text in that email, at times the edited text changes
to blue arial font and inserts an extra space. I realise this blue font is
the default for forwarding, but is there a way I can keep the editing in the
same font as the original text, other than selecting all the text and
choosing the correct font before sending? I use Outlook 2002.

Hi,

I was wondering if you ever figured out how to do this?

See if unchecking "Tools>Options>E-mail Options>Mark my comments with"
helps. Also check the value of Tools>Options>E-mail Options>Advanced E-mail
Options>Add properties to attachments to enable Reply with Changes. I don't
know if this latter affects it, but it can't hurt to experiment.

By the way, I've never seen blue text as "the default for forwarding".
