How can I keep my mail closed to send an email?

My mail wont stay in italic form for sending. What am I doing wrong? Have
contacted ISP and configuration is correct.

Do you have any anti-virus program checking your messages, or any Outlook
add-ins? These are generally behind problems like this. If you have A/V
software, disable its mail scanning.
