How can I get the mouse back?

I have a KVM switch box w/ 8 servers connected to it. Once in a while,
while moveing cables, the mouse will come unplugged from the box. The only
way I know to get it back is to reboot the servers. Is there a way to have
get it back w/o rebooting?

Thanks.

Plug in a USB mouse until the next reboot. It won't be switchable
but it's better than no mouse.

I have a number of cascaded KVMs, and if I unplug the mouse keyboard
or monitor, I have no problems when I plug the back in. I use Rextron
Novas.
