I am looking to have the message to show up every time I get a new email
message.

New Mail has arrived. How do I set that up
 
If you are talking about Microsoft Outlook the use the Menu Tools / Options
.... / Preference tab / E-mail Options ... and check the option "Display a
notification message when new mail arrives".

BTW, this newsgroup is for Microsoft Access (a database application) and not
general computer "access". If you still can't set it, suggest you re-post
to the relevant newsgroup for the e-mail client software you are using.
