How can I get rid of 'LexBce Server'?

Bobby Boucher

I emailed Lexmark tech support with this question. They replied with
step-by-step instructions on how to install a printer.

I replied with the following:
I think you must have misunderstood my question. I KNOW
how to install a printer. The question was: I have UN-installed the
Lexmark printer/driver (since I don't have a Lexmark printer) and
want to know how to stop the service 'LexBce Server' from
running without losing all of my PREVIOUSLY installed printers from
the printers folder in the control panel. If I simply stop it from
running by unchecking it using 'msconfig', my other printers disappear
and I can't reinstall them. If I re-enable 'LexBce Server', they all re-appear
and can then be used as usual.

How do I get rid of it?

They gave me an 800 number to speak to a technician, but I'm getting
nowhere with this. Does anybody know how to get rid of this service?
I've thought about going to a restore point from before I installed
the driver, but have made other changes and installed software that
would be a PIA to have to go back thru again.

Many thanks for any help/info.
