How can I get Outlook to find Word as the email editor?

I've recently bought a new computer and reinstalled MS Office XP Standard,
Version 2002. When I click on reply to a message in Outlook, I get this
message: "This form required Word as your e-mail editor, but Word is either
busy or cannot be found. The form will be opened in the Outlook editor
instead." When I go into Options to see what is checked in the Mail Format,
sometimes "Use Microsoft Word to Edit e-mail messages" is checked and
sometimes it isn't. What else should I be doing? It worked perfectly on my
old computer.

Hi,

I believe I can verify that Word is on my PC. It came in an Office package
with Outlook, Excel and Powerpoint. I have a shortcut and I'm able to open a
new document.

I have the same problem. Word 2003 is installed and, until recently, worked
great as my email editor. Now I get the same message you received. I've
Repaired office, Uninstalled and reinstalled office. Installed all online
updates. Checked for viruses and spyware. Still doesn't work. I'm hoping
someone out there knows how to fix this...

Same here. I am suspecting it has something to do with SP2 download.
Outlook worked fine until i downloaded it and now Word seems to be a
different version that Outlook (which is wasn't before). Now I just have to
figure out how to get them to be the same version again!!! Let me know if
you guys find anything.
