How can I get Journal to record excel worksheets and word again?

My outlook journal (2003) has stopped recording both excel worksheets and
word documents. It is only recording e-mails now which it had stopped
recording for a while too. I have tried finding an answer to this problem
everywhere to no avail.

Have you been to Tools | Options | Journal Options to turn it on for Excel?

The other thing that may have happened if you're on a corporate network is
that your IT department have turned it off globally - I know they can do it
as they do it to many of my clients.

Judy, I have been to Journal Options but it did not work. Where can I get
more information for my IT department on globally turning it off/on?
