When I use my computer after install XP SP2 by run some program and/or play
a RPG game for a while, my computer will stop with blue screen and msg say
it stop because some program or hardware maybe harm to my computer and ...

"IRQL_LESS_OR_NOT_EQUAL"
"STOP: 0X0000000A (0X0000000, 0X00000002, 0X00000001, 0X804DC901)"

even therefore I never got this msg and every program run well.

How can I fix this problem of XP SP2?
I already update windows and have nothing to update anymore from Windows (
it says like that) I'm so tire with this fussy problem. It going to stop me
to use XP SP2 and get back to the old good day using XP SP1. :'-(

It's most likely being caused by an incompatible driver on your system.
Update your motherboard chipset drivers, video drivers and audio drivers for
starters.

If you post back with what hardware is in your machine we can point you in
the right directions.

I have had lots of problem with NVIDIA drivers, and my guess is that would
be the problem. There is a newer driver then the one you list 6.14 this is
6.17 http://www.nvidia.com/object/winxp_2k_61.77.

Do you happen to be running Norton Antivirus? There is a problem with one
of their drivers and can cause of BSOD, make sure you run Live Update. When
the computer restarts and it asks you if you want to submit the crash to
Microsoft do you allow it to send the crash? If not the next time it
crashes let it submit the crash. I have found that on occasion it can be a
known problem and it will tell you where to download the fix from. This is
how I found out about the Norton Antivirus problem. NAV 2005 kept crashing
my computer.

My only other suggestions would be to check your memory. If you have dual
sticks pull one out and try it then switch them around, sorry out of
options.

Hi RobinTh,

If you send me some of your minidumps I can take a look at them and see if
they point to something going wrong within a driver.
To determine what driver is causing the problem I need you to enable driver
verifier.
Steps:
1) Windows Key + R
2) Type in 'verifier' and hit enter
3) Make sure 'Create Standard Setting' is selected and hit next
4) Click on 'Select all drivers installed on this computer' and hit Finish
5) Reboot

There is a possibility that your computer will crash on reboot. If this
occurs hit F8 when rebooting just before the windows logo screen and select
the safe mode boot option. Follow the same steps above but on step 4 choose
'Select driver names from a list'; hit next; check the box next to any
driver where the provider is not Microsoft; hit Finish; reboot.

This will slow the performance of you computer a little while enabled but
will hopefully catch the driver causing corruption. Next time you crash
the blue screen will hopefully say something like
"DRIVER_VERIFIER_DETECTED_VIOLATION". If this occurs please send the
corresponding minidump my way. If you have any questions or I didn't
explain something well enough don't hesitate to e-mail me back. Good Luck,

To all people here,

Thank you for all of your advise.
You guys here so kind to me. But I've been tired for search for any solution
anymore.

I don't believe that the latest OS are not better than the previous version
but I've experience with Windows XP-SP2 It crash my computer with "Blue
Screen Of Death" which I never got before upgrade to XP-SP2!

From this newsgroup and others forum all around the world, I've just
realized that how many people got the same BSOD's problem. Some can fix it,
some are not -same me... Therefore, I've use the same computer with same
devices, programs, hardwares on XP-SP1 and got no problem at all until I
download the SP2 then I've found many kind men are around the world ;-)

Dear guys, today I've brought my computer to a maintenance shop in my area,
Bangkok-Thailand. I hope that he can use all of his knowledge to fix it.

Last thing I need from you all is... pls, bless for me to get my computer
back with non-problem at all.

Cheers,
/RobinTh

Hi RobinTh,

If you don't have luck with the maintenance shop there please send me some
minidumps of your crash and I will debug them for you and see if there is a
single issue here.

Hi RobinTH,

I had a similar problem with my NVidia driver, after I try many of the given
recommendations, none of them worked, but as I am brazilian, I tried one of
the recommendations from the Portuguese/Brasilian group.
There was one saying that this NVidia issue is a well-known problem, he
suggested download the last driver version from NVidia website.
I did it, I installed it on Windows XP being in Safe Mode, since in the
Normal Mode my Windows was not responding at all. After the driver
installation, I rebooted it, the problem was still on, then I decided to
disable all non-Microsoft services, then I rebooted it again, that time it
worked, Windows XP raised the warning screen asking me if I wanted to report
the problem to Microsoft, I chose for sending the minidump across, then IE6
automatically started on Microsoft webpage, the link for the problem
description is
http://oca.microsoft.com/en/Response.asp?SID=11
After that I enabled the NVidia Service again, then it worked at last !!!

I think your problem is bit different, but I am sure NVidia drivers and
Windows XP are not the best friends, so you need to find a way to conciliate
them.

If you tried all possible drivers, contact NVidia Support and report the
problem.

I lived 5 hard days to sort out this problem.

Good Luck !!!
